Course Reflection Narrative
The creation of tales, oral discussion postings, and grammar lessons were all part of the SPAN 301, composition and oral practice course. We would go over the proper usage of Spanish grammar, including accents, periods and commas, sentence connectors, and spelling. Other times, after reading narratives in class, we would be given the choice of writing an alternative conclusion or having an oral discussion of the text using an app called GoReact. We may visually videotape ourselves responding to a prompt using the GoReact app to demonstrate that we understand the question and can speak Spanish with ease. With the help of this course, I was able to correctly use grammar and connectors to create Spanish phrases. I'm more proficient at communicating in Spanish as well as writing clear sentences. As a student of Spanish language and culture, these are the most important skills to possess because they relate to my major. Even though I still don't feel totally secure in my Spanish speaking and writing abilities, I do think I now understand how to put words together to form sentences. In light of this, I aim to become an expert in that area of Spanish so that I can speak it fluently without any difficulties in the future. Grammar is such an important aspect of the language, it seems like every Spanish composition class includes at least one lecture on it. I'm hoping to continue this learning process by speaking and writing in Spanish frequently in my upcoming sessions, which will help me become proficient in both. I believe that the more I speak and write Spanish, the better I will get at it.
